GNU/Linux on x86 architecture, kernel 2.4, GLIBC2 or later, kernel serial tty driver for serial port.
1 Mbyte of extra memory in addition to the operating system, host application, other applications etcetera.
We recommend disabling swap/virtual memory on the host computer.
We recommend running the host application with real-time priority.
Virtual COM ports such as those provided by Terminal Services or RS232 over TCP/IP are supported, altough default timeouts may have to changed.
